Terms of Use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The short version: Pluckr is a Google Docs add-on for extracting, downloading, and converting inline images from the document you open it in. Google Apps Script reads the document images and prepares original-image downloads; image conversions run in your browser. Use Pluckr only with content you are authorized to access. The Service is provided as-is, without warranty.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Pluckr Google Docs add-on and the docpluckr.com website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service is
Pluckr opens in a Google Docs sidebar. It reads embedded inline images in the current document, including images in tables and nested document tabs. It can show image previews and details, copy or download images, and convert images to AVIF, WebP, JPEG, or PNG with optional quality and maximum-width settings. The add-on does not currently extract floating images or images in headers, footers, or footnotes.
Google Apps Script reads image data from the current document and prepares ZIP downloads of original images. When you convert images, the sidebar draws and converts them in your browser. The add-on requests access limited to the current document; it does not edit document content.
Cost
The Pluckr Google Docs add-on is currently provided free of charge. If charges are introduced, they will be clearly disclosed before you are charged, and these Terms will be updated.
Your Google account and your documents
Google may ask you to authorize Pluckr to access the current document so the add-on can read its embedded images and prepare downloads. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to access and use the document and its images. You can stop using the add-on and revoke its authorization through your Google Account permissions.
Our handling of information received from Google is described in our Privacy Policy. Pluckr’s use of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use the Service and the content you process with it. You agree that you will:
- use Pluckr only with documents and images you own or are authorized to access, download, and modify;
- respect copyright and other rights in images that belong to others;
- not use Pluckr to bypass access restrictions or process content you are not authorized to access;
- not disrupt or interfere with the Service, Google Docs, or Google systems; and
- comply with applicable laws and Google’s terms.
Your content
You retain your rights to your documents and images. These Terms do not give Pluckr ownership of your content or a license to use it beyond operating the features you request.
Intellectual property
The Pluckr add-on, the Pluckr name, and the docpluckr.com website are owned by their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership to you.
Third-party services
The Service relies on Google Docs and Google Apps Script, which Pluckr does not control. Your use of Google services is governed by Google’s terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes that affect the Service.
Disclaimer of warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that conversion will produce a particular result. Keep your own copies of original files.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pluckr and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, files, or profits arising from your use of the Service, even if advised that such damages are possible.
Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by closing or uninstalling the add-on and revoking its authorization. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
